The head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Eurovision Song Contest has been confirmed.
This time the delegation will participate in the competition under the leadership of Isa Malikov, Qadin.Net reports citing axşam.az.
Isa Malikov previously participated in the preparations for the Eurovision 2009 song contest Aysel and Arash, who represented Azerbaijan in the third place. He was also a member of the jury for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark and the Eurovision 2020 Children's Song Contest in Kazakhstan.
Malikov also led the team preparing Efendi, the Azerbaijani representative at Eurovision 2020.
It should be noted that Efendi was to represent Azerbaijan with the song "Cleopatra" at the Eurovision 2020 song contest, which was postponed due to a pandemic. Efendi will take the stage to represent Azerbaijan in next year's round of the international song contest, which was postponed by the organizers, ie the Eurovision 2021 song show.
