The Lebanese government has extended the state of emergency declared in connection with the explosion at the port of Beirut for another 30 days.
The statement came from Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Mahmoud Makki, RIA Novosti reported.
The state of emergency will last until September 18.
A powerful explosion near the port of Beirut on August 4 killed 178 people, injured more than 6,000 and damaged hundreds of property.
