ANSWER to allegations related to briefings from the Operational Headquarters

Some media outlets reported on the non-compliance with the rules of the special quarantine regime applied in the country at regular briefings of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the report, journalists, video and photo crews invited to the briefing, as well as officials attending the briefing did not wait, did not use protective medical masks, as well as disinfectants.

According to the medical department of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers, taking into account the cases of coronavirus infection and the requirements of the quarantine regime, the hall where the briefings of the Operational Headquarters were organized was divided into two separate parts. Special monitors and equipment are used to broadcast the speeches of those invited to the briefing, as well as the speeches of media representatives in both parts of the hall. All persons invited to the briefings are provided with protective medical masks, gloves at the entrance to the venue, and disinfectant solutions are placed in the hall. Body temperature is measured at the entrance of persons entering the space. Seats in the hall will be placed at the briefing in accordance with the requirement of appropriate distance between both the speakers and the media. Conditions have been created for waiting between the video crews behind the seats, which provide the necessary footage for live broadcasts and journalists' reports. Thus, places are allocated for each operator with special tapes.

Speakers invited to the briefing will be tested for COVID-19 in advance. Speakers, as a rule, always wear medical masks when entering the hall. During their speeches, they remove the mask to establish comfortable communication, but the necessary distance between their tables is expected. It should be noted that the venue of the briefings is disinfected every time before the event. Media representatives invited here are also regularly examined for COVID-19.
