President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has said he is ready to step down if a new constitution is adopted in a referendum amid ongoing protests in the country.

According to him, the country is working on the third version of the updated constitution.
"Let's sit down, work on the constitution and put it to a referendum. "I will give you my constitutional powers," he said.
