The number of people seeking plastic surgery during the coronavirus pandemic has risen sharply.
This was reported by The New York Times, citing publika.az. Diana Alexander, a plastic surgeon at the Atlanta Center, said the number of patients has increased in recent months. He said that people who complained about their appearance began to turn to doctors more often:
"I've never had so many surgeries and I've never seen so many patients this summer."
Experts explain the increase in the number of plastic surgeons during the pandemic and the application of restrictive measures of the pandemic by the fact that people make video calls to each other during this period, and at the same time begin to see their shortcomings more clearly within the camera.
The New York Times calls this trend unexpected, because plastic surgery in the United States is very expensive. The cost of various procedures varies from 3.3 to 25 thousand dollars.
