The date of the world's first COVID-19 vaccine, Sputnik V, has been announced.
The statement came from Alexander Gintsburg, director of the Russian Gamaleya Institute for Epidemiology and Microbiology.
"Application of the vaccine to citizens will be carried out in three stages. The vaccine will be injected into the registrants during the production process, ie in the first stage. This process will take 7-10 days. The additional vaccines produced will be applied to the population. It can take three weeks or a month, ”Gintsburg said.
Ginzburg added that the vaccine was given to a young woman last week and had positive results.
