The number of coronavirus patients opened in Azerbaijan has been announced - OFFICIAL

"Criminal proceedings have been instituted against 16 people who took to the streets and public places and posed a serious threat to the lives of others, even though they had to be treated at home due to a coronavirus infection."
Interior Ministry spokesman Ehsan Zahidov told Report.
According to him, coronavirus patients were found by police officers and servicemen of the Internal Troops, who supervised the quarantine regime.
"Some of them were warned, some were taken to hospital, and criminal proceedings were instituted by the local police on 16 facts under the relevant article of the Criminal Code."
It should be noted that the legislation of Azerbaijan provides for both administrative and criminal liability for violation of the anti-epidemic regime, sanitary-hygienic or quarantine regimes.

Those who commit this act are prosecuted under Article 139-1 of the Criminal Code.

According to paragraph 1 of the article, a violation of the anti-epidemic regime, sanitary-hygienic or quarantine regimes imposes a fine of 2,500 to 5,000 manat or restriction of liberty for up to three years or up to three years if it causes the spread of disease or poses a real threat to the spread of disease. is punished by imprisonment for the term.

Paragraph 2 of the article defines the responsibility for the same acts that caused the death of a person or other serious consequences through negligence.

The crime is punishable by three to five years in prison.
