The Narimanov District Executive Power has commented on reports that trees have dried up in the existing green area on Ashig Molla Juma Street.
According to the Executive Power, the area was inspected, but the above-mentioned streets were not found:
In this regard, we, the Narimanov District Executive Power, state that in 2013, three separate green areas with a total area of ββ7.47 hectares, surrounded by a metal fence, were created in the area.
We note that about 5,000 trees of different species have been planted in the area by the Executive Power, as well as through regular community work initiated by the Executive Power. Special working groups have been set up to provide care and irrigation for the trees, four artesian wells have been drilled, reservoirs have been built, two water trucks have been installed, and a drip irrigation system has been established.
As for the type of planted trees, we can mention the evergreen coniferous leylandra, Eldar pine, fir and khan plane trees, which are mainly adapted to the local climate.
However, despite the constant care and cultivation of the trees in the area (spraying, pruning, etc.), the drying of leylandra trees is regularly observed due to various parasitic diseases.
At the same time, we note that the area is under our control, dried trees are removed and new ones are planted in their place. Thus, 67 dried and damaged leylandra trees were replaced with new ones seasonally in the spring of this year.
Currently, the replacement of dead trees is planned to be done in September, taking into account the seasonal climatic conditions required for the trees to take root, and local seedlings have been ordered for the seedlings. When planting new trees, preference is given to local khan plane and fir trees.
It should be noted that during the construction of the green belt in 2015, the "Brotherhood Cemetery" Eternal Memorial Complex was built in an area of ββone hectare. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the victory over fascism, in May 2020, the Complex was overhauled and a lot of landscaping work was done in the surrounding area.
In addition, the last construction work in the area was carried out until 2015. At present, no construction work is being carried out in those green areas and it is not planned to do so in the future
