Following the progress of COVID-19 in the elderly, British scientists have concluded that many of them have atypical (non-standard) symptoms of the disease.
Gadin.Net reports that this is stated on the MedRxiv portal.
For this purpose, from April 7 to June 29, residents of the nursing home were monitored.
Of the 103 people who tested positive, only 38 percent had standard coronavirus symptoms.
According to the report, 54 people had no symptoms of the disease or they appeared two weeks later.
At the same time, fatigue or general malaise has been observed in many infected people, which scientists consider to be atypical symptoms of the coronavirus.
