Alexander Ginsburg, head of the NF Gamaleya National Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, answered journalists' questions about the negligent reaction of Western colleagues to the Russian vaccine.
According to Qadin.Net, citing publika.az, the scientist explained this by the competition in the drug market:
"Criticism of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus may be related to competition. "Vaccines developed by Russian experts will protect people from infection for at least two years," he said.
Recall that two scientific laboratories in Russia have announced the possibility of developing a vaccine against coronavirus. On August 11, President Vladimir Putin personally announced that the Vector Research Center vaccine was the first in the world to be registered and ready for use. The leaders of the Philippines and Serbia have said they want to try Russian medicine.
