Concerning the scandalous book for children - Disclosure

Today, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs published information in the media and social networks about the book "The Story of a Gas and Pigeon", which does not meet the specifics of children's literature and its requirements, but is intended for children's audiences.
According to Qadin.Net, the poet Aygun Bal, who is a member of the Writers' Union of Azerbaijan, did not take into account the age characteristics of children, as well as the didactic and educational significance of the chosen topic:
"Undoubtedly, children's literature, which is an integral part of fiction, is one of the direct means of education and the formation of a new generation of literary taste. That is why each literary example not only has a positive impact on the formation of our future children, but also in children's psychology and interests. It should be noted that the use of the material does not meet the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, taking into account the possible negative effects of the expressions used in the above-mentioned printed material on minors.
Thus, the information that discredits the institution of the family is included in the list of information that is prohibited for children. According to Article 4 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On protection of children from harmful information", the distribution of such information products among children is prohibited. Also, contrary to the requirements of this law, the "book" was published without an expert opinion.
We would like to inform you that according to Article 388-2.0.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, information products are classified according to age in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On protection of children from harmful information”, as well as except as provided by this Law. There is an administrative liability for its distribution in the country without marking according to the age category.
According to the "Rules for assigning information products to age categories" approved by the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 267 of July 29, 2020, the dissemination of information products without an expert opinion is subject to administrative liability.
As the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs, we emphasize that it is not expedient to disseminate such information products for the use of children, and that appropriate measures will be taken to disseminate information in accordance with the law. "
