Restoration works are being carried out in the damaged villages of Tovuz region

In July of this year, as a result of intensive shelling of the Tovuz region by the Armenian Armed Forces using large-caliber weapons and heavy artillery, the civilian population, state property, as well as infrastructure facilities were severely damaged.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, who has always stood by his people, was not indifferent to the fate of the country's citizens.

Thus, on August 6, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order "On additional measures to eliminate the damage caused to civilians, state property, including infrastructure facilities as a result of intensive shelling of the Tovuz region of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia." According to the order, in order to eliminate the damage caused to the civilian population in Aghdam, Dondar Gushchu, Vahidli, Alibeyli, Yukhari Oysuzlu and Ashagi Oysuzlu villages of Tovuz region as a result of intensive shelling of Tovuz region by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, One million manat was allocated from the reserve fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations immediately took appropriate measures to implement the relevant issues arising from the Order. Thus, in the above-mentioned settlements, first of all, according to experts, the demolition of houses damaged by artillery fire, cleaning of the area to ensure the normal implementation of work, as well as repair work has begun. The work is expected to be completed in a short time, and enough equipment and manpower have been brought to the area for this purpose.
