Given the direct impact of overcrowding on the intensity of the disease, a number of rules must be followed in public catering establishments.
Mansur Piriyev, head of the Information Provision and Innovative Solutions Department of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency, said in this regard.
The report states:
- Everyone must comply with the requirements of the pandemic when entering public catering establishments, as well as participate in ensuring public control over the observance of these rules in the establishment.
- The number of customers in public catering establishments should be halved and the per capita area should be doubled.
- In dining halls, rooms and open spaces, the distance between tables should not be less than two meters, and the distance between the seats behind the tables should not be less than one meter.
- Regular disinfection should be carried out in such places, disinfection solutions should be placed on each table. Refrigerators (fans) should not be used in food reception halls, rooms and open spaces, cleaning and disinfection works should be carried out during working hours mainly in working areas (entrance-exit, cash register, etc.), and after working hours in all areas.
- The enterprise must be constantly provided with cleaning products, disinfectants, hot and cold running water. It is necessary to keep sanitary living rooms (sanitary unit, dressing room, etc.) in working and clean condition.
- The staff must always strictly follow the rules of personal hygiene. They should also wear clean work clothes. Since they come in contact with many people during the day, they should be provided with protective equipment and disinfectant solution.

- Care should be taken to clean products, kitchen utensils and equipment before use.
