If before the pandemic the biggest threat to the planet was plastic pollution, now the first place among these hazardous wastes is taken by medical waste, mostly medical masks.
9 out of 10 people already use a medical mask, but I wish we could say that 9 out of 10 people use a mask and throw it in a special garbage can, not around.
According to residents, it would be better to install garbage cans intended only for masks, and then dispose of these containers. Some people throw a medical mask or glove around after using it. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person.
In addition, the plastic containers you see in many parts of the city are unfortunately not set for medical waste.
