Pensions have already been paid in Baku and Sumgayit, Absheron region.
The statement came from Rashad Mehdili, head of the public relations department of the State Social Protection Fund, Qadin.Net reports quoting publika.az. According to him, pension funds were transferred to the accounts of pensioners registered in those cities and regions.
Due to the special quarantine regime applied in the country, retirees can get their pensions from ATMs of any bank. No interest will be charged in this case.
In other regions of the country, as well as pensions for civil servants, military and special ranks will be paid on the 15th of the month.
