The statement came from the Defense Ministry.
It was stated that Lieutenant General Mammadov Fuad Nadir oglu died of heart failure on August 10, 2020.
F.Mammadov was born on January 31, 1968 in the city of Baku.
In 1985, he graduated from the Jamshid Nakhchivanski Military High School. He graduated from the Riga Higher School of Military Aviation Engineers in 1990 and served in the Transcaucasian Military District from that year to 1992.
He took part in the battles for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Since 1992, he has served in the Air Force of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a group leader, deputy squadron commander, chief engineer, deputy commander of the Air Force Command for MTT.
From August 20, 2015 to July 8, 2020, he served as Deputy Minister of Defense for Logistics - Chief of the Main Logistics Department.
He has been repeatedly awarded various prizes and medals for his meritorious service. He was a Veteran of the Armed Forces and War of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
