Has the number of people paid 190 manats been reduced? - OFFICIAL STATEMENT

"190 manat social payment was given to support informal people whose jobs were closed and who lost their jobs and income. It was also paid according to the criteria of low security.

This was stated by Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev at a press conference on the measures taken to support employment and social welfare during the pandemic and the tasks ahead, in accordance with the instructions of the President, Qadin.Net reports quoting oxu.az.

According to him, this payment was made to 600,000 people in April and May:

"Also, this benefit was paid to the residents of districts and cities, where strict quarantine was applied in the next restrictions. There has been no reduction in the number. Paid public works were offered to other citizens who applied for social benefits.

"If a citizen applies for 190 manat and considers himself low-income, the job offered to him is a job with a minimum wage. If a person is highly educated and highly qualified and does not want to do this job, there are 47,000 vacancies for them and they can apply there. During a pandemic, jobs are reduced and there is no guarantee that all of them will find work.

The target audience of public works is known. There is no need for this work in the public sector, it is a social project, for low-income unemployed. "There are tens of thousands of people working at the minimum wage," he said.
