Turkey sent aid to Beirut

Turkey has sent aid to meet the needs of the Lebanese people and help the people in the disaster zone in connection with the powerful explosion in Beirut.
The statement came from Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Hami Aksoy, Gadin.Net reports quoting the Telegraph. Aksoy said that on the instructions of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the staff of the Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) and the Red Crescent Society under the Turkish Interior Ministry went to the disaster area. Turkish rescue teams, ambulance brigade, field hospital, medical supplies, etc. will provide humanitarian support.

It should be noted that six of the injured in the known explosion in Beirut were identified as Turkish citizens.
