Russia has begun preparations for testing the COVID-19 vaccine on children.
The statement came from Alexander Gitsburg, rector of the Gamaley Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology.
According to him, the test stages will be stratified in the first two months of next year: “Now we have started work on the necessary documents. We are determining the documents that we will submit to the Ministry of Health with pediatricians for testing on children after the completion of all tests on adults.
Earlier, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said that clinical trials of the vaccine, developed by the Gamaley Institute, have been completed, and the necessary documents for a license are being prepared.
