226 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Azerbaijan, 588 people have been treated and released.
The statement came from the operational headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers.
Five people who tested positive for COVID-19 died.
During the last day, 6409 tests were conducted to identify new cases of infection.
The number of active patients is 4089 people.
