The President of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Gebreyesus, has said that there will never be a "magic weapon" that will completely stop the spread of the coronavirus, and that the road to "normalization" will be long.
According to HaberGlobal, Gabreyesus and Mike Ryan, the head of the WHO's Ambulance Service, called on all countries to "wear masks, maintain social distance, wash hands and increase the number of tests" at a joint press conference.
The WHO chief called on people and governments to do everything possible to prevent the spread of the virus.
Stressing that some vaccines are in the third phase of a clinical trial, Gebreyesus said that vaccines are being developed that can protect us all from infection, but this may not be the definitive solution.
