A five-year-old girl from Vologda, who saved her brother from a burning apartment, has been awarded as part of the "Young Heroes" initiative of the Russian Investigative Committee.
Russia's Investigative Committee has issued a statement in this regard.
The incident took place on May 26 this year. The girl saw that the house was on fire and threw her younger brother to the people standing below the window. He then jumped down from the burning apartment. They were immediately taken to hospital.
The five-year-old hero was awarded an honorary certificate and a smart watch. Now the girl lives with her brother and father in a new apartment.
