The weather was unstable in the country, with lightning, occasional rain, heavy showers in some places, and strong north-west wind.
According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, the amount of precipitation was 36 mm in Zagatala, 33 mm in Sheki, Saribash (Gakh), 32 mm in Kishchay (Sheki), 24 mm in Tartar, Gabala, 23 mm in Oguz, 20 mm in Ismayilli and 20 mm in Mingachevir. 19 mm, 18 mm in Shahdag, 14 mm in Aghdam, 10 mm in Balakan, 12 mm in Goychay, Gusar, 7 mm in Dashkasan, Gadabay, Lerik, 6 mm in Gryz, Tovuz, 5 mm in Guba, Naftalan, 4 mm in Shahbuz, Maraza, Barda, Astara , Agdara, Goygol, Ganja, Khaltan, Zardab - 3 mm, Agstafa, Altiagaj, Shamakhi, Jeyranchol, Lankaran, Kurdamir, Beylagan - 2 mm, Sumgayit, Baku, Nakhchivan, Sadarak, Shamkir, Sabirabad, Yardimli, Shabran - 1 mm.

As a result of heavy rains, floods hit Kurmukchay Ilisu and Girdimanchay Garanohur settlements at 00:15 and 02:30 on August 3.

North-west wind increased to 20 m / s in Sharur, 18 m / s in Gum Island, 16 m / s in Pirallahi and 15 m / s in Neft Dashlari in Baku and Absheron peninsula.

According to the Neft Dashlari station, the height of the wave reached 2.6 meters.

The maximum temperature was 28-31 C in Baku and Absheron peninsula, 32-37 C in lowland regions, 20-22 C in mountainous regions, 34-39 C in Nakhchivan AR.

Due to the rains over the past day, the water level in most rivers of the country has increased, and some rivers in the Greater Caucasus have experienced short-term floods.

Thus, the water level in the Lesser Caucasus rivers increased by 9-11 cm, in the Valvalachay River flowing through the Greater Caucasus by 10 cm, in the rivers of Lankaran-Astara region by 2-5 cm, and in the Ganikh River by 12 cm.
