Doctors of the International Vaccination Center at Gazakh National University have carried out the first vaccination against the new coronavirus in Kazakhstan.
The first person to be vaccinated against coronavirus was the director of the Vaccination Center Kaysar Tabinov, Gadin.Net reports. He was vaccinated with the COVAX-19 vaccine, which was developed in Australia and is currently in the first stage of clinical trials. It should be noted that Kazakhstan is working to develop a coronavirus vaccine. Clinical trials of the vaccine are scheduled to begin in September. The number of people infected with the coronavirus in the country has reached 90,367, more than 60,000 patients have been cured and 793 people have died from the virus.
