During the COVID-19 pandemic, Azerbaijani citizens abroad continue to be brought to the country. The Azerbaijani government has evacuated another 42 citizens of Kazakhstan temporarily (due to business and personal visits) due to the threat of the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
According to the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Aktau, all citizens sent on the ferry "Mercury" of "Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping" CJSC passed the COVID-19 test.
In total, 107 people have been sent home by the Consulate General from the port of Aktau so far. Registration of citizens waiting to be evacuated to Azerbaijan continues at the Consulate General.
