Magsud Suleymanli, a 10-year-old Azerbaijani from the United States, received the President's Award for outstanding achievements in education.
Magsud's mother Nigar Panahova told AZERTAC that she started going to school while she was still in Baku.
After his family moved to the United States, Magsud soon learned English and soon became one of the best students in his school.
The Presidential Award for Outstanding Achievement in Education is presented on behalf of the President of the United States and the Secretary of Education under a program established in 1983. Students who excel in elementary, middle, and high school in the United States receive this award based on criteria set by the National Association of High School Principals.

Magsud's parents, Hikmet Suleymanli and Nigar Panahova, paid special attention to the choice of permanent residence, because the state school where the child goes depends on the family's place of residence.

Therefore, in order for children to receive a high quality education, they settled in Clayton, St. Louis, where the best schools in the Midwest are located. According to Ms. Nigar, it is here that Magsud has achieved great success in education and laid the foundation for future achievements. The Solomon family recently moved to Pennsylvania. Maqsud also received the Presidential Award in the fourth grade of Herbert Hoover Elementary School in Pennsylvania.

However, Magsud is not only distinguished by his level of knowledge and achievements in education.

Like his parents, he is a patriot. Magsud and her sister Tansu regularly take part in international and intercultural festivals at school and outside the school, where they tell their peers about the culture of their country, Azerbaijan, its history and national cuisine.

Maqsud loves to play football, play chess and is interested in programming. While living in Baku, he studied at the Vugar Hashimov Chess Academy, and has already won several awards in the United States. Maqsud wants to be an astronaut in the future.
