More than 4,000 servicemen of the Southern Military District of Russia have started battalion tactical exercises in Armenia, Rostov and Volgograd regions.
According to Gadin.Net, this was reported by Sputnik Armenia.
It was noted that the tank units of the reconnaissance and firing complexes fired live at targets located up to four thousand meters behind the mountainous areas.
Tactical battalion groups were fully equipped and involved in joint weapons training at the Prudboy test site near Volgograd and Kuzminsky in the Rostov region.
Under the maneuverable defense of the units, the engineering units used the "Syrian wall" tactic, which provides shelters for armored vehicles and fire drills during the battle.

Earlier, it was reported that the battalion's tactical exercises involving more than 5,000 servicemen and about 800 weapons and military equipment were held simultaneously in five regions of the North and South Caucasus.
