Mauro Morandi, who has lived alone for 31 years on the Italian island of Budelli, is evicted.
According to Qadin.Net, this was reported by CNN.
It is reported that the house of the man who is the guardian of the island was considered an illegal building.
Morandi, 81, was a former sports teacher. In 1989, his catamaran crashed near Budelli. The man on the island was struck by the scenery and decided to stay here forever.
During his stay on the island, he cleared the area of garbage, shared photos of the landscape on social networks, and took full control of the island. His activity was welcomed by everyone.
However, in 2016, the Italian government included the island in La Maddelana National Park. After that, Morandi's house received the status of an illegal building.

Now it has been decided to demolish the building and build an ecological observatory on the site. This is the only house for a man. In addition, Morandi believes that the island will die without him:

"My only request is not to be temporarily relocated on the eve of the repair work, but to return later and continue the work I have been doing for many years. I'm afraid if I leave, it will be the end of Budelli. "

"I do not know where I will live after this, I do not know what to do - this is my life. I don't see myself just playing cards or balls, ”he added.

A big campaign has already started on social networks in support of Morandi.
