"As it is known, on July 21, 2020, hundreds of radical Armenian Dashnaks brutally attacked and injured a small number of Azerbaijani Azerbaijanis in front of the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is currently investigating the violence against Azerbaijanis on the basis of a hate crime.
The statement came from the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles.
It was noted that in order to divert attention from the crime, the organizers of the protest, the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) and the Armenian Youth Federation (AYF), have been claiming on social media since yesterday that Azerbaijanis came to the rally with various weapons.
"The organizers claimed that the Azerbaijanis had been armed since the beginning of the protest, they informed the police about it, the police confiscated their weapons, but gradually returned them to them during the protest.
Apparently, the Armenian lobby, which humiliates the Armenian bandits who have committed violence against members of the Azerbaijani community and tries to evade responsibility, is trying to present itself as a victim in this case as well.
As soon as these false allegations were made, a thorough and detailed investigation conducted by the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles and the Azerbaijani community here revealed that the alleged weapons (saws, hammers and other tools) were carried out by a radical Armenian Dashnak.
It was revealed that the Armenian drove past the Azerbaijani protesters several times and threw the tools at them in order to commit provocation.
The Consulate General immediately made a short video of the man's actions and his car and shared them on social media accounts:
The Consulate also provided this information and the number of the car to the LAPD.
In addition, Consul General Nasimi Agayev appealed to the Los Angeles Police Department regarding the false allegations made by the Armenian lobby against members of our Azerbaijani community and asked them to comment on the matter.
In response, Randy Godard, chief of police's West Los Angeles branch during the July 21 incident, said on Twitter that he was considering allegations that members of the Azerbaijani community were armed with tools such as saws, hammers, knives and metal rods. stressed that it is not true.
He also noted that police officers did not see any weapons on Azerbaijanis and did not confiscate any weapons from them. He said he was disappointed by the allegations, which tarnished the image of the police.
Thus, another lie of the radical Armenian lobby was exposed.
Apparently, no matter how hard the Armenian lobby tries, they cannot change the truth: the Armenian Dashnaks attacked members of the Azerbaijani community and committed crimes against them on the basis of open hatred. The truth will win sooner or later! ”The statement said.
