Antibodies formed after getting rid of COVID-19 will not remain in the body forever.
The statement came from Ilnaz Imatdinov, head of the laboratory at the Vector Center, Gadin.Net reports.
"When people get a mild illness, their antibody titers stay for a few months, after which they disappear," he said in an interview with Russia's 24 TV channels.
In this regard, the head of the laboratory does not agree with the idea that mankind will develop mass immunity against the new coronavirus and will not need to be vaccinated in the near future.
"It simply came to our notice then. "Unfortunately, current epidemiological studies show the opposite," he said.
