According to the results of the monitoring conducted by the specialists of the National Hydrometeorology Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the amount of dust in the air in Baku and Absheron Peninsula exceeded the norm starting from noon today.
The statement came from Deputy Chief of the National Hydrometeorological Service Vasif Aliyev.
"The reason is that the north-west wind in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula occasionally intensifies to 23-25 m / s, and as a result, the dust formed in the production areas rises to the upper atmosphere."
According to Aliyev, due to meteorological conditions, the amount of dust in the air is expected to exceed the norm in the next two days.
