"We are celebrating this year's Eid al-Adha in the context of an ongoing pandemic around the world. Worship sites are temporarily closed to protect human life, the most sacred value created by Almighty God. ”
The statement came from the Caucasus Muslims Office on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Qadin.Net reports.
It was noted that it is acceptable to perform Eid prayers within the family at a time when the Hajj pilgrimage is postponed due to the compulsory isolation measures of the pandemic period: “The temporary closure of places of worship due to quarantine should not harm religiosity and piety. Sickness and hardship must be a means of seeking refuge in God, patience, trust, and repentance. We hope that people will come out of this test stronger and more spiritually purified, I hope! ”
According to the report, the distribution of sacrificial meat to the needy during the holidays, as well as the delivery of food or any gifts is a popular practice:
"Sacrifice is important for pilgrims during the Hajj in Mecca, but in other places it is not necessary, so it is recommended not to cut in public places this year under the quarantine regime, as it is a mustahab. Many countries are taking this step in order to prevent the spread of the virus in areas where people are likely to gather en masse.
