Proposals on the use of alternative sources, including groundwater, treated waste, collector-drainage water, water used in fisheries and water from the Caspian Sea, will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) has issued a statement in this regard.
It was noted that this is reflected in the "Action Plan for 2020-2022 to ensure the efficient use of water resources" approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 27, 2020.
The work will be carried out in August-October 2020 by ANAS, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Azmelsutasarujat OJSC, Azersu OJSC and local executive authorities.
