A new type of watermelon has been grown in Russia's Astrakhan region.
According to Gadin.Net Ren TV, this type of watermelon is traditionally white, not red.
Breeders have been experimenting for 15 years to grow new varieties of watermelons.
The taste of white watermelon will be different from traditional red watermelon. Manufacturers say that white watermelon tastes like vanilla and almonds.
White watermelon will be sold after registration by the State Register of Selection Achievements.
