The Japanese government has asked companies to increase the rate of remote work by 70-80 percent due to the growing number of coronaviruses among employees.
Economy Minister Yasutoshi Nishimura said the government would encourage companies to increase remote work and implement other social distance measures, Qadin.Net reports quoting the Telegraph.
The minister added that the rate of working remotely has dropped by about 30 percent. He also called on companies to use uninterrupted queues and avoid after-work meals.
In Japan, the infection is more common in the 40-50 age group who go to bars and restaurants after work. Experts are concerned that the infection will be detected in this age group. The rise in new infections in Tokyo and other major cities has raised concerns about a second wave of the epidemic.
