A moth was removed from the ear of a local resident in the Ishim region of Russia's Tyumen region.
According to local media, the patient dripped water into his ear before reaching the hospital due to severe pain.
"It simply came to our notice then. To inactivate the insect, it is enough to drip ordinary water on the ear. If you have it on hand, vegetable oil is also a good option.
At this point, the insect suffocates and becomes immobile. However, in any case, it is necessary to consult a doctor to remove the insect from the ear with the help of special tools, "said the otolaryngologist working at the hospital.
Experts say that insects that fall on the ears can cause serious damage to the human body. This can lead to hearing loss, dizziness, nausea, and severe edema.
