According to the company, such packages dissolve in seawater within a day. This will have a major impact on the treatment of ocean and sea water from plastic waste.
Mitsubishi Chemical, along with other national companies, is currently preparing for mass production of these packages.
It should be noted that starting from July 1, plastic bags are offered for collection in Japanese markets for a fee.
