Under certain conditions, a coronavirus infection can be transmitted up to 8 meters away.
According to Gadin.Net, scientists from the Helmholtz Center for Infectious Diseases have come to this conclusion.
In May, businesses investigated the spread of the disease. So, a few months ago, in a meat factory where more than 1,500 workers were infected with the coronavirus - in a refrigerated warehouse, the process of transmission of the virus was investigated and undesirable results were obtained.
"Here, a combination of different factors ensures the transmission of the coronavirus over a relatively long distance," the report said.
What conditions allow COVID-19 to spread over a greater distance?
The researchers said that the main factor in the spread of coronavirus is probably cold weather and insufficient ventilation of the room. In such conditions, a distance of 1.5-3 meters may not be enough to protect yourself from infection.
Earlier, scientists at Imperial College London reported that the symptoms of coronavirus infection worsened depending on the weather.
