Russian professor Georgi Bazikin said the second wave of COVID-19 would be less dangerous.
According to the Russian media, the expert noted that over time, the strains of the coronavirus will become less dangerous and the second wave will not be as deadly as the first.
"There are two issues. Based on general considerations, the predictions made about the evolution of the virus are, on the one hand, theoretical expectations, and, on the other hand, what we see in practice. It is also spreading intensively, "the expert said.
"As for the severity of the disease, the virus already does not matter to the patient - the main thing for him is to pass on to others. Therefore, the theory does not say anything comforting and gratifying for us. We do not see any traces, "the professor explained.
