The United States has demanded that China vacate its Consulate General in Houston, Texas.
Gadin.Net reports with reference to publika.az that the other side was given 72 hours for this.
A statement from China said the US demand was a unilateral provocation.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin strongly condemned the decision and called for the demand to be lifted.
Houston firefighters said documents and paper had been burned at the Chinese consulate.
