Evacuation measures are being carried out in the coastal areas of the US state of Alaska due to the threat of a tsunami.
The evacuation was announced after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake off the coast of Alaska.
According to TASS, the evacuation is being carried out in coastal settlements within a radius of 300 kilometers from the epicenter of the earthquake.
The quake was also felt in Anchorage, Alaska's largest city.
The epicenter was reported at a depth of 28 kilometers
