The Azerbaijani theater community has suffered a loss.

It was noted that the former director of the YUG Theater Jarail Israfilov died at the age of 69.
He graduated from the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts in 1973 with a degree in drama and film acting. Together with his classmates, he was one of the first members of the troupe of the Lankaran Drama Theater, which opened on December 6 of the same year. He created various interesting images on the stage of this theater.
In 1991-2007 he worked as the director of "YUG" Theater. J.Israfilov is the brother of Professor Israfil Israfilov and the actor of the YUG State Theater, Honored Artist Farhad Israfilov.
Israfilov told APA that his brother Israfilov died of coronavirus.
