New cells have been found in the blood of cancer patients who have not lost their ability to fight disease cells.
According to Gadin.Net, this fact was revealed as a result of research conducted by professor of Hacettepe University of Turkey Gunesh Esendagli and his team on the immune system.
Speaking about the research, the professor said that the immune system was characterized by different methods: “We have seen how more than 20,000 genes have changed in these cells. We showed how they behave differently than other cells and whether they support the immune system in the fight against cancer. These new types of cells, which belong to the group of immune cells called monocytes, have been identified and purified by various methods. The number of these cells is less in healthy people and more in patients.
