The statement came from Defense Ministry spokesman Vagif Dargahli.
He said that tensions remain on the front lines.
"Occasionally our positions are fired upon by the enemy. Of course, the Azerbaijani Army provides adequate responses, "he added.
Dargahli stressed that as a result of active measures taken by the Azerbaijani Army, the shelling of villages on the frontline of Tovuz was prevented.
It should be noted that since July 12, Armenian armed forces have fired artillery at positions in the Tovuz region of Azerbaijan. In response to the Azerbaijani Army, the Armenian side suffered more than 100 casualties, destroyed military equipment and outposts.
