The second wave of coronavirus in Russia, which will spread in the fall, will not be as effective as the first.
The statement came from the chief infectious disease specialist of the Ministry of Health, Professor Vladimir Chulanov, Publika.az reports.
Speaking to the country's media, the professor said that all viral diseases increased in the autumn compared to previous seasons, and therefore the coronavirus could spread widely: “The return of people from vacation always leads to an increase in respiratory diseases. However, we do not expect the second wave of the coronavirus to be as strong as the first.
Chulanov said that many Russian citizens have developed immune systems against COVID-19, adding that people are more careful to follow the rules of preventive measures.
