A record number of 32,538 cases of COVID-19 infection were registered in India during the day. Thus, the total number of infected people in the country has exceeded one million. India is the third country to have more than one million new coronavirus infections. Earlier, the number of cases in the United States and Brazil exceeded one million.
According to Worldometers, which keeps statistics on the pandemic, 666 deaths due to COVID-19 occurred in India during the day. So far, 25,595 people have died from the virus in India. It is reported that 60% of those infected with the virus have recovered.
India has the third highest number of people infected with the COVID virus, after the United States and Brazil. The highest number of infections is in Maharstra and Tamil Nadu, the capital Delhi.
