President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of October 29 - Republic Day.

The letter reads: "We are always following the achievements of the Republic of Turkey with great pleasure, and we are as happy with their success as we are with our own," he said. In recent years, your brotherly country has become a center of power pursuing an independent policy on a global scale, demonstrating comprehensive political, economic, social, military and technological development. You personally have an incomparable role and invaluable services in all these achievements. The great trust and confidence of your brotherly people in you is the highest appreciation of the policy pursued for the benefit of your country. The head of state noted that the Azerbaijani-Turkish unity and strategic alliance, which stems from the will and common national and moral values of our peoples, are at the highest level today through our joint efforts.
These friendly and fraternal relations, which are unique in the world, have become an important factor in serving peace, security and cooperation in the region, guiding political and economic processes.
"Your firm and unequivocal position on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, your unwavering support for our cause is a clear example of our solidarity and is very valuable for our people. Azerbaijan, in turn, stands by brotherly Turkey in all matters. "I am confident that the unshakable Azerbaijani-Turkish unity and brotherhood, which is our greatest legacy for future generations, will continue to develop and strengthen in line with the slogan 'One Nation, Two States,'" he said.
