Ali Nagiyev, Chairman of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Missing Persons and Hostages, and other officials met with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Azerbaijan on October 10, 2020. The sides expressed readiness to exchange the bodies of servicemen of both sides, and even to return some of the bodies of Armenian servicemen unilaterally, as well as to release two Armenian servicemen and two civilians detained in Azerbaijan with two Azerbaijani hostages.
The State Commission said that the Azerbaijani side was also ready to unilaterally release the 85-year-old Armenian woman left in the battle zone during the withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces.
Despite the above, so far the Republic of Armenia has not responded to the proposals of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the release of prisoners and detainees and the return of bodies.
