A boycott of French goods has been announced in Qatar and Kuwait following French President Emmanuel Macron's statements on Islam.

In Qatar, French cheeses have been removed from the shelves of the state distribution network, and instead local products are already on display.
Even the French restaurant Le Train Bleu refused such French products.
In addition, there were calls in Jordan not to buy products from French manufacturers.
Calls for a boycott of French products in the Middle East have intensified since French President Emmanuel Macron promised to release cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad on October 24.
The publication of the cartoon was condemned by Turkey, Iran, Jordan and Kuwait. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which unites Muslim countries, also expressed regret over statements that could damage France's relations with Muslim countries.
