Quince jam (photo-recipe)

Ingredients:
- Quince - 2 kg
- Powdered sugar - 1 kg
- Water - 1l
- Lemon juice
Preparation:
Wash the animal well, peel it, divide it into 4 parts and clean the inside. After cleaning each animal so that the color of the fruit does not darken, put it in water with lemon juice (2 teaspoons of lemon juice for 2 liters of water).
Make a syrup from powdered sugar and water. To do this, pour powdered sugar into water and cook over low heat until the sugar is completely melted (about 20-25 minutes). Remove the animal from the water, pass it through a large grater or cut it into small pieces.
Put the animal in the syrup and cook over low heat until the syrup thickens and resembles jelly (about 40-60 minutes). Then add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, cook for 2-3 minutes and remove from heat. Put the total in sterilized 1/2 l jars while hot, close with metal lids.
Turn the jars over the lid, bend them warm and keep until tender.
